Calling a Time Out

My children whine.  I know.  How could this be??  I always think that I am going to get a bunch of things checked off in the morning at home, while my children play for a few hours.  Sharing their toys, being sweet, and giggling.  Not so much.  They are good for about the first 25 minutes and then a toy is always taken which ensues whining, lots of whining.  After taking a late shower this morning and attempting to do my hair, I called a time out and told the kids we were going to bake.  Instant smiles and instant excitement.

We made Chocolate Brains because it is October.  It is a a cute recipe I got from the gym~

Chocolate Brains
3 cup marshmallows
3 cup chow mein noodles
1 and 1/2 mini chocolate chips
Makes 18 chocolate brains

Stir marshmallows and chow mein noodles together.  In the microwave melt chocolate chips, stirring every 30 seconds. After they are melted pour over chow mein noodles and marshmallows.  Mix until chocolate has coated everything.  With two spoons (not your hands like I did..way too messy), form into little mounds and place on wax paper.  Refrigerate until they have hardened.  Enjoy with a glass of milk!  Oh and you will need a wet paper towel to clean your hands!

Just a little attention from mama goes a long way with these three.

Weston turned out to be the best helper.  Took his job very seriously.  The twins enjoyed playing with the marshmellows.

Delish but very messy!  Landon decided he didn't want one.  His loss.

After we cleaned up Landon and Weston cuddled on the recliner.  So sweet.   They should be good for another 25 minutes. :) Oh and that is Landon's new ring from the prize box at preschool.  He chose it because it is green, and green is his favorite color.
