Elf on the Shelf

We are three days into the tradition of Elf on the Shelf. I love it.  The kids do too.  He is a little Elf that has come down from the North Pole to watch the kids. Every night he travels back to the North Pole to tell Santa how the kids have been .  Each morning the kids find him in a different spot.  Last year I wasn't that creative.  This year thanks to pinterest and people posting pictures all over Facebook, I have enough ideas to go for two months.  This little elf though will leave the night before Christmas right before Santa comes.

Just making some snow angels in the flour. Naughty elf.

I told the kids that Santa gave me special permission to move Elf to the top of our tree so he would have a good view during the day of their behavior. They seem to buy it.  Makenna made Elf some tea today and left it on the dining room table.  I told her he would probably drink it when she wasn't looking. He did just that and she was completely amazed!

Tonight Elf is fishing for gold fish.  The kids are going to love seeing this in the morning!

I am thankful to have found this Bunkhouse Blossoms blog that gives fantastic ideas of what to do with Elf. I love to steal ideas.

Like Bunkhouse Blossoms says, Childhood only last 10 to 12 years. Make it unforgettable

Are you doing Elf on the Shelf this year?
If so, what fun ideas are you doing with Mr. Elf?
