You may even see some shots of my handsome hubby. I take my camera everywhere I go, capturing life as we know it now. Kick off your shoes and stay awhile. Glad you stopped by.

Blog to Book

I started this blog back in October. I love it.  It allows me to keep up with our everyday going ons in an easy fashion and journal about what we are doing.  I had never heard about printing my blog. I asked a question on Facebook about it and got some great feedback.  So off to google I went to find a great place to print my blog.  I found an awesome site.  $80 for a 177 page hardbound book.  I entered my blog address and it uploaded it right away. I chose the title, words for dedication page, pictures for front and back, and then submitted it.  Easy peasy!

It came today!  Happy dance!

Is it fancy? Nope. It is simple and that is what I love. Journaling our days with pictures to go along with them.  I was doing digital scrapbooking but I wasn't able to keep up with it. This I can do.  I have a system down and it works brilliantly.

I highly recommend blogging. Very fun.

Thanks Melissa! My system is when I sit on the couch at night I make it a goal to upload my pictures from the day and run them through lightroom. I try and just blog right then. On a given night this whole process takes about 30 mins (this would be about 30 pictures I am going through and maybe blogging 10 of them). I have found if I get the pictures off my camera the day I take them I can stay on top of them. Blogging about my photos the day of makes things so much easier because the memory is fresh and I am not trying to remember what we were doing on that day. Have been doing this for five months and it has worked well!
When I did digital scrapbooking I would go months without doing it. Journaling was frustrating because I couldn't remember everything in detail and the amount of pictures I needed to go through was overwhelming.
