I love to get away. Just me and the hubs is even better. On Wednesday we hit the road and headed south for a little road trip. A trip to getaway and to celebrate our nine years together. The three kids with the grandparents and us on the road for four days = bliss.
We charged up with some Starbucks and headed to Santa Barbara.
We had to stop in Pismo Beach and admire all the people jeepin on the sand. Something we must come back and do sometime.
I usually am the planner in the relationship when it comes to trips. On this trip Todd planned everything. Love that. We stayed in a cozy romantic B and B in Santa Barbara.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at sushi. Just so nice to have an adult dinner. Love, love, love.
Known this man for twelve years and married to him for nine. Pretty lucky.
Santa Barbara is amazing to view from up high.
On the pier in Santa Barbara enjoying Clam Chowder.
Our next stop was San Luis Obispo where we met my brother for dinner and drinks. Love this cute town.
My brother. I love him.
I seriously enjoyed amazing desserts this trip. Seriously incredible.
We stayed up way too late in SLO and enjoyed sleeping in along with lunch with Chris before heading towards Monterey.
On our way to Monterey we stopped at Hearst Castle, a place Todd had never been. Amazing.
How about a dip in this pool?
Saturday morning we woke up in Monterey to a very chilly morning. Brr. Felt like winter. A hot Starbucks was a must.
We drove the 17 mile drive cozy in our car to Pebble Beach. Simply gorgeous.
We headed to the wharf in Monterey and enjoyed some more clam chowder at an amazing restaurant. Yes, we love clam chowder especially when it feels like winter.
We continued on up the coast. I seriously love this drive. One of my favorites to travel Highway 1.
We traveled on to San Francisco and enjoyed the sights and some dinner there.
We arrived in Santa Rosa at my parents after finding a late night spot for some chocolate dessert in San Rafael. Yum.
A happy Mama with her three kiddos in the back heading home to home sweet home. I LOVE getaways without the kids but do miss them. Always nice to be back together again after a few days.
